PAINTING PORTRAITS FROM LIFE
Painting the Portrait from Life. Directed by Podi Lawrence. An intense painting day. Podi is a respected teacher and full time artist specialising in portraiture. There will be 2 workshops which you can come to either or both. The second is on February 16. Cost : £45 each day or £80 for the two. £10 reserves your place. WHERE: St. Georges Hall, Reforne, Portland. Local B&B can be recommended.
Podi will start the day by explaining how to set up, surroundings, lighting, model, and yourself. What colours to use and shapes to look for. You will be practicing those suggestions up to 4.30pm with just a 45 minute break for lunch. Each student is treated individually with personal advice. Bring your own materials (advice will be given on booking). Oils will be demonstrated but you may use acrylics. Bring lunch. Tea and coffee will be available all day. Email or phone for full details:
