Following redundancy after 30 years as a local newspaper photographer I have now turned to my passion for painting. Never wanting photo-realism I strive to express mood and emotion through painting. My marks can be influenced by inner angst or inner joy and convey self-expression despite myself as a direct reaction to my own changing world and circumstances. I suppose this is what gives us our own painterly voice. They reflect my personal responses to a scene but always leaves room for a conversation with the viewer. Successful sales have been achieved at The Gallery, Reigate; Art Ache, Horsham; Tallantyre Fine Art Gallery, Morpeth and privately.
