Biography

Popular TV artist and overall winner of 'Artist of the Year' in 1999, with the SAA. She has featured on 'Fraser & Friends', 'A Splash of Paint' and other teaching programs. She was also a contestant in channel 4's Water Colour Challenge series. Author of 3 books including the best seller 'People aren't Scary, really', other titles include 'Animals on the Loose' and 'Painting Dorset in water colour'. plus many DVD's Her inspiration comes from teaching on cruise ships around the world, which provides fresh ideas for her live online and on-demand tutorials. Her studio is equipped to provide high-quality images during live demonstrations. Online corporate and hen/bachelor events can be organised via Zoom, with options to provide materials that complement the live or pre-recorded sessions. Marilyn also teaches annually at her Painting Trio Breaks in Bournemouth, continuing to share the practice of painting with others.
