John Elliott

Biography

I work in watercolours, oils and acrylics, taking inspiration from the changing light on the east coast. Born in the Lake District, I spent my early years in the Peak District, moving to Hull to enjoy my career as an architect. I have entered open exhibitions and had work selected in the Ferens art gallery(2010, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022) Beverley art gallery (2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022) Bridlington Artwaves and Scarborough art gallery. I had my first solo exhibition at East Riding Theatre cafe gallery May to June 2023 showing twenty works of which ten sold. My second solo exhibition at East Riding Theatre cafe gallery is from 23 May to 19 June 2026
