Glafira Kotova
Biography
I am a London-based artist of Slavic origin, working at the intersection of traditional oil painting and digital art. My work explores the balance between nature and modern life, the passage of time, and the complexities of human relationships. By blending these mediums, I aim to bridge tradition and innovation, capturing fleeting moments that shape identity and collective experiences. My recent exhibitions include What is Art at Boomer Gallery in London, Russian Soul 2022 at Yasnaya Polyana Museum in Tula and Multiplicity 2022 at Winzavod Contemporary Art Center in Moscow. My painting Dinar Sea was awarded First Place for Best Landscape at the Chronos exhibition by DAS in Moscow, and I was a participant in the 2022 Art Residency "Octava" in Tula. Through bold textures and dynamic compositions, I strive to create visual narratives that invite reflection on life’s dualities, connecting timeless themes with contemporary perspectives.
