Fiona Dillon

Biography

Living in Lancashire with easy access to the coast and Lake District, Fiona draws inspiration for her work from her lifelong love of animals and the great outdoors. Fiona loves long walks with her beautiful Labrador, Boston (pictured right). Fiona studied art many years ago and started painting again in April 2021. Once Fiona gets her inspiration, she cannot wait to see the finished painting. She loves to experiment with new and exciting techniques and is always expanding her knowledge. Whilst many artists prefer to use one medium for their work, Fiona prefers to use different mediums and techniques. She believes this gives her the advantage of being able to choose what she considers to be the right medium for the subject. Her style is all about having fun and enjoying every piece of work. She is particularly keen to capture movement and personality in her work. Fiona's painting "Kung Foo Fighting" won The SAA Group December Challenge in 2021. Fiona has completed the Great Manchester Run on many occasions raising money for a local animal sanctuary. Fiona is happy to consider donating paintings to charitable causes for animals.
