Elena Davies

Biography

I was born in Moscow in 1972. I moved to the about UK 25 years ago. For a few years, I lived in the beautiful countryside of Shropshire. Since 2010, I have been living in Northern Ireland. I graduated from the University of Ulster in 2025 with a degree in BA (Hons) in Fine Art. In 2025,  The Jordan Mills Memorial Prize for Landscape Painting. In 2025,  RDS VAA Long Listed Artist 2025. I never had a choice between Art and something else. In one way or another, everything revolved around Art. I always painted, sketched, and drew, even though life was quite challenging at certain times. I always tried to be sincere in my paintings because Art is our guide to being honest with ourselves. I am inspired by nature's beautiful views, the sky, clouds, and the green of the fields. As an artist, I feel much happier and content when painting pets. I tried to paint various things, but painting pets, especially dogs, brings me a great deal of joy. I can never say where my painting will take me, because it is a creative process, but  I firmly believe that Art brings a lot of joy to individuals' lives.
