David Fernandez Giron

Biography

I’m a Spanish digital artist working for the Visual Effects and Animation industry in the UK. I’ve worked on many well-known blockbuster films such as "Sherlock Holmes", Marvel universe movies "Iron Man II" and "Avengers: The Age of Ultron", the Academy Award winner "Interstellar" and "Solo: A Star Wars Movie", to name but a few. My passion for painting began to slowly develop during my early twenties, but it wasn’t until aged 29 that I picked up my first brush and began to paint. Since then, traditional painting has become my creative media of choice. I took private tuition at Academia Taller Del Prado during my time living in Madrid, and later received a Certificate in Oil Painting from The Art Academy whilst working in London. We are based in Plymouth since 2014, I spend my free time painting plein air studies locally, or enjoying long walks sourcing inspiration and photographic reference for studio paintings back home.
