Chloe Henderson
Biography
I trained as a jeweller at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, and graduated in 2014. I am currently studying a Masters Degree at the Birmingham School of Jewellery (2017/18). Since finishing my undergraduate, I have been developing my creative practice; making jewellery and artwork based on stories and mythologies. My drawings are akin to the zentangle style. I use patterns to create narratives, and explore visual storytelling through illustrations and wearable art. I love drawing in inks, and I add splashes of colour with watercolours. I'm always experimenting with new techniques, and materials; both in my illustration work and my jewellery creations. Playing is most fun an artist can have! I'm hugely inspired by nerd culture, mythological creatures, and anything a little bit fantastical. I use themes as jumping off points for my work, and as I am always discovering wonderful new nerdy things, I never seem to run out of inspiration. In my spare time I tame unicorns and swim with mermaids.
