Bev Hutchings

Biography

I am a recently retired college lecturer in maths & computing. I acquired a keen interest in watercolour painting as a form of relaxation after attending watercolour classes. Since retiring, I have had more time to paint & have attended workshops & watched online instruction to extend my knowledge & techniques. In August 2018 I was awarded the Sloots Cup at Rosedale Show for the “Best Art & Collage” exhibit, additionally in the October I was awarded the Richardson Cup by the Driffield Art Club for the “Best Watercolour” exhibit. I love painting landscapes and in particular wildlife. I have exhibited at a number of venues locally. I am a keen photographer and gain inspiration for my paintings from nature, walking in the countryside, observing the ever changing landscape, wildlife & plants within their natural habitat.
