Andi Mulholland

Biography

I am an artist and designer working in wet and dry mixed media. I love drawing so my work will often open with a figurative construct and then proceed through a process of experimentation and play with various media. I enjoy the working of textures and patterns into a piece, informing the viewer of another possible narrative. I have a background in graphic design which instils a fundamental order to my work and which I constantly strive to undo - I want to be gestural and messy in my work so the viewer is tantalised by the painting, rather than spoon-fed an image!
