Elizabeth Turner

Biography

Norwich School of Art 1975-78 BA Hons. After graduating from art college I began working for several leading London publishing houses as a freelance illustrator and designer. In 1986 I was approached by the sporting art gallery Ackermann and Son in Bond St., London, to show my work there. With this gallery my equestrian sold to international customers and over the years generated many commissions. By 2000 I started to study landscape painting as a subject in itself. This was an exciting and fresh start, an opportunity to develop my style as a painter and to make paintings that are not influenced by commission. Animals and birds are still some of my favourite subjects but I am always looking for something new and personal in the landscape which I can translate into paint. Instagram : @libbyturnerart
