The North of England Art Club
The North of England Art Club is friendly community of artists based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is open to both amateur and professional artists
We would like to introduce ourselves to any prospective new members who are looking for a friendly community of artists based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. We are currently over 80 members both amateur and professional artists based in North East England. This pool of members provides a wealth of experience which can be drawn on as we seek to support each other in our shared passion for art. We have permanent studios based at Newcastle Arts Centre open Monday to Saturday, where we hold a range of activities including regular portrait and life sessions, talks, and open sessions where members work alongside each other on their own projects. We also organize a small number of selling exhibitions each year in venues in and around Newcastle. The club is one of the oldest in the North East having its origins in the Newcastle Society of Artists founded in 1835.
We welcome new members – for further details about the full range of our activities, and how to join our club, please visit our website. You can also follow us on Instagram @northofenglandartclub
