Faces of Ebola by Tim Benson at Mall Galleries, The Mall, London, SW1, from Monday 7th to Sunday 13th November, 10am - 5pm.

An exhibition of painted portraits and audio interviews of Ebola survivors and those that cared for them in Sierra Leone. The untold legacy of this terrible disease is a continued social and professional stigmatisation that leaves many of those affected jobless, homeless and without family. This exhibition will tell their story. A percentage of funds raised will help these people rebuild their lives.

Tim will also be hosting a portrait masterclass in the Threadneedle Space at mall Galleries on November 9, from 10 -1. Spend the morning painting alongside Tim Benson VPROI. Ticket price goes towards supporting those living with Ebola. Book now by calling 020 7930 6844

Educated at Glasgow School of Art and Byam Shaw School of Art from 1998-2001, Tim Benson has received recognition with his election as Vice President of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. Tim not only creates a distinguishable likeness of a subject but moreover evokes the sitter’s character and mood. He is never satisfied with simple representation, rather concentrating on bringing to his work an emotive and often visceral quality. Tim is Course Director of the Diploma in Portraiture at Heatherley School of Fine Art.

Look out for features by Tim in The Artist next year.
