Alan says 'Recently I started to use Pip Seymour watercolour paints. I opted for the 18C Turner range, which are hand ground from pigments sourced from around the globe. They are quite different to use, being very hard and they do take some getting used to. So, persevering as one does, my initial trials were promising but not quite hitting the mark. However, after an hour or so of testing, I was happy to start a painting and was surprised at how pure the colours were and I was delighted with the results.

'Having posted about a dozen or so of these on the gallery, I was approached by Pip himself, who had seen my work here on POL, and asked if he could use some of my images on his website pages for Facebook and Twitter. I obviously agreed and his web designer has started the ball rolling.

I now have ten paintings on display on Pip’s Facebook page and a new image is appearing each day on Twitter. An important point to note is that you never know who is looking at the gallery, I wonder if David Hockney is browsing through it as I write?'
