This is very nice Wenda, I've had a go at this view a couple of times and it's a tricky subject. I like the way you have simplified the foreground.

what lovely rich colours! And the deatil in the flowerbeds - terrific. Ok, shadows, bit of a clanger, but only really noticable in one place..........unfortunately (theres no getting round it) it's in the middle of the picture. A real shame. i don't know if that would lift out, which might reduce its impact. Good that you can put it down to experience, great attitude.

Lovely watercolour Wenda

This is a beautiful watercolour painting, you have alot of talent.

It has come out well. I like it Wenda. Very colourful and vibrant!

Gorgeous watercolour capturing of this area in the Isle of Wight, gorgeous light and shade and use of colours Wenda, love the thatched cottages and flower beds and the picket fences

I thought the painting was going well until i applied the shadow, which i failed to make a good job of....oh well, win some, u lose some...!!!!!! The name 'Godshill' is said to originate from the foundations of the local church, which dates back to the 14th century, being moved from the bottom of the hill to its present location on the top of the hill on three occasions whilst it was being built. This was taken to be a sign from God that the church should be built on the hill, hence the name Godshill
