I'm aware there is too much green in the foreground and i will remove some of this when i mount the painting.

This is a super painting, and I love that green, it's what attracted me when I saw it on the page, and that tree is just wonderful!

Thank you Stephen. Green is always a tricky one isnt it! I dont have many greens in my acrylic palette, so made this out of ultra marine, burnt umber and Phathlo green. (mind you, just a touch of it as boy is that baby bright!!!!). It was a good effort i feel for i only have 2 hrs in my art group session, and with 4 children i never get time at home.

Pthalo Green can take over a painting very easily - I think you've kept it under control here, though, and I think Stephen's right, it leads you into the painting and up to that very striking tree.

I like the composition and as we are having a very hot dry summer in west Australia I rather like the cool green. : )
