Superb!! Love the angle you have painted these at!!

Excellent painting the angle is great and you have done a really good job of the boats. Having seen these old cobbles lots of times in reality and photos , you have the shapes and look spot on the odd bit of rust is perfect.

I think the angle makes for a stunning painting and you have painted them beautifully

Impressive angle and painting.

Very impressive

Really like this. Great title, too. I like the close-in cropped effect.

Love it.

Great perspective, beautifully portrayed!

Beautiful composition.

Very well painted and interesting angle.

Thank you for your encouraging comments everyone. They mostly confirm my view that the close cropping and low viewpoint made for a good composition.

The crop adds impact, Brian, and the detail is impressive, without being over the top. Lovely painting. Bri

Dramatic angle of a superb piece of work

I agree with everyone about the terrific viewpoint Brian, makes for a very interesting composition. Excellent work.

Thank you for your positive feedback Bri, Stephen & Fiona. It is much appreciated.

A stunning piece, with a superb composition and tons of atmopshere.

A pair of working boats which, when not at sea, can generally be found moored up together on Filey Cobble Landing. I’ve taken photographs of them many times with a view to painting them but never found a view I was happy with. Until this one & I rather like the “in your face” low angle. I’m not sure I’ve done them justice but the experience was enjoyable.
