This is lovely. I do like the jumble of cottages all squeezed on top of each other, and I have seen lots of Palm trees on the Dumfries /Galloway coast. In the style of Walter is good enough for me!

I agree with Lynne - a super painting - lots to keep the eye in the picture - really nice.

Lovely painting Walter

I can't critisize this as I find it so very interesting. It's a feast for the eyes :)

A lovely painting Walter, very eyecatching! The palm trees add a quirky touch!

This is so interesting Walter, love the composition, well done!

Hi Lynne, Julie, Petra, Sarah, Christine and Debs - very many thanks for taking the time to comment - much appreciated.

Nice one Walter , Palette's pretty close, Good Job.

comments yes, criticisms no - a really accomplished painting

Love the colours and shapes which make for such an interesting composition. Super painting.

Hi William, Michael and Thea - many thanks for your kind comments - no response from Cezanne yet!

This is superb, Walter. It's really well composed and executed. Not completely in the style of Cezanne but with your own signature touches - it more than stands the test!

Gorgeous work Walter you are like a one man tourist brochure, painting such lovely and interesting local scenes, this one of the rooftops is no exception

Thanks Ros - yes - a one man unpaid tourist brochure!

This was an attempt at a local art class to paint in the style of Cezanne --- so my sincere apologies to the great man! It is ~12x16 inches and yes, we do have the odd palm tree in Scotland. All C&Cs very welcome.
