Another great painting Christine - a lovely sense of distance with those mountains giving the impression of great height. You have made great use of the softer tones and texture in the snowy covered slopes with the harder sharper texture of the foreground - excellent.

The background effect of the mountains is spot on......top marks for this......i like it very much.

Mountains are so difficult, one wants to depict the rocky cragginess but in doing so it is easy to have them come to the foreground too much. You have avoided this problem and I also like your colour palette, subtle but interesting in texture.

Also like your image 19 and various other landscapes, your style is distinctive and free. Thank you.

I know this area. I have posted several comments on your work Christine as I love so many of them. I like your style very much. So very different from my own but lovely. I have also painted the Canagou (posted 12 /1/10) and scenes from this area. I am new to the website and this is the first time posting to the site. I would welcome your comments .
