Another coloured pencil work using Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. In order to maintain the brightness of the highlights (using 300gsm, hot pressed watercolour paper) the dark background needs to be drawn with the pencils (big job). I used a layer of black over-painted with a layer of prussian blue. The actual background is much darker than the camera has shown unfortately. The subject is three peppers lying on a reflective surface.
