Thank you Heather for taking the time to comment. Yes it was definitely a day for dodging showers. I kept to a minimal palette so as not to compete with the gathering storm clouds.

I painted this from a couple of photos taken during a family holiday. I have always been fascinated by the sky and cloud formations. Boy did it rain that afternoon!
