Love the sun hitting through......really lovely!. I too use old paintings and use an isopropyl wash to blend in the pastel colours....gives a good depth to the painting.

Been away in Edinburgh. Must comment tho' on this very stand - out painting. You were very bold with the darks and the strong colours, painting over something often adds to the new painting. One of the best Thalia.

Like this very much, like all your scenes Thalia. Interested in the painting over, have far too many old canvases that since downsizing I haven't the room for, must try painting over them.

This was painted over another painting something I often do, strange to say often bits of the under painting fit into the new guy in unexpected ways! Painted from an old photo from our diving days in Cornwall.
