I converse regularly with a local flock . They sound different as well . One happy Ewe ...baaa.

She's wonderful! No way a Henry Moore sheep! I miss seeing sheep in fields...they're kept in tiny pens here...sigh!

Thank you Sylvia and Thalia! I’m beginning to think sheep are quite interesting- certainly a challenge to paint.

The thing is Tessa, they don’t all look the same...lol. I’ve had a few sheep and they not only don’t look alike, their personalities are different and as Sylvia mentioned they sound different as well. She’s a very handsome ewe.

Thank you Fiona: who would have thought we’re all such fans of sheep? The mind boggles!

This was a commission painted for my brother in law who shows Berrichon sheep, so had to be an accurate painting of a particular ewe, and don’t anyone say they all look the same to me!
