Lovely Sylvia, nice variety of colours. I'm afraid winter has come to us here in South Wales last night, very heavy frost which has knocked the plants that were left in the garden and they all look sorry for themselves, a job for tomorrow I think.

Beautiful Sylvia, so free and full of life.

So far here in the beautiful north of Wales we haven't seen a frost...but windy and damp.. last year my geraniums in pots stood out all year. I just tidied them up , fed them and they still look good. So fingers crossed. This huge sunflower I'm just going to leave for the birds. Nice of you to comment Margaret, thanks

I usually grow half a dozen every year in the veg garden Sylvia, for the bird mainly but I do love seeing their smiley faces. You've used the white to maximum effect picking out bits and pieces, it's nice to see this different variation of the seed heads......lovely.

Gorgeous, love this one. Tha pencils are lifted by the the white marks Sylvia. Not seen a 'posca white marker, looks good.

Gudrun, John , Fiona and Carole thank you. The Posca pen is great fun , a step up from a felt tip. I found mine on Amazon for a couple of quid. Though they also have their own web site.

Thanks Sylvia, will look!

Excellent work Sylvia beautiful colours and variations

I have this ginormous sunflower in the garden. He / she has been very magnificent a good twelve feet high. The leaves are now yellowing the seed are being attacked by wild life . It has already with stood quite strong winds so will be interesting to see how it fares over the winter. This is my last contribution for our themed sketch books . Coloured pencil and a bit of Posca white marker. .
