Gorgeous colours and textures Sylvia, I'm sure all will be fine this time, it has happened to me in the past when using inks.

I think you should add, Sylvia, that they were Brusho inks - they DO fade, sadly (because they have beautifully vibrant colours); but modern acrylic inks should be lightfast, which I'm sure these are.

This is beautiful, Sylvia - I'm sure she'll be delighted with it...

Yes you are right Robert they were Brusho inks they are lovely to use but have learned NOT for projects like this one, as they happily "die This actually is paint not ink, ive done it on a canvas so with a coat of varnish it should be good for a few years. well at least seeing me out. Thank you for comments and for looking.

Lovely and vibrant Sylvia and that lady's got herself a great replacement.

Beautiful colours and so well painted, sure the lady receiving this will be over the moon.

Beautiful vivid colours Sylvia, there's no way this will fade in a hurry!

Vibrant and gorgeous Sylvia

You've made a grand job of it Sylvia.

I so hope she likes it, I have been " bothered " by the thought that she might not. But your lovely comments are giving me hope. Thank you .

No, it will not fade Sylvia and just as well as they are gorgeous!

Sylvia...This is gloriously vibrant...I am sure your buyer will be delighted...Wish I had Iris like this in my garden...the rabbots eat all the bulbs...or the field mice...or Mr. No-One! Wonderful palette...x

Thank you Bea and Ruth ,I appreciate both of your comments. We are moving house soon Ruth I might dig up a few spadeful so of these Iris. .i do love them .

Lively iris painting Sylvia, bet she will love it! Thanks for the warning too, I was wondering what Brusho was like. I have some Dr PH Martins 'Radiant' inks and they not lightfast either but the PH Martin's Hydrus inks are.

Carole brusho are great for cards , sketchbook work ,handicrafts etc. The colours are wonderful. But lightfast they are not. It depends how you want to use them , I certainly wouldn't discount them on every account. Thanks for looking and your nice positive comments .

Just had a look at your faded Brusho replacement, Sylvia. Beautiful! What a shame about the Brusho painting though! I'm so glad you warned me.

This is a replacement painting for one I sold some years ago ...and it gently faded away, it was inks. I told the buyer I would replace it for her so did this acrylic this afternoon. I KNOW this one wont fade . I just hope she is happy with it. Fingers , toes and eyes crossed.
