Loving the toon scenes Mark. Haven&#39;t been in the pubs but will visit when back oop north. We used to visit the City Hall in the 50s with tickets to see to US big name concerts in Jazz at the Philarmonic tours and always seems to end up in Yates Wine Bar.<br /><br />Smashing subject and painting

As part of a current pub crawl project I have produced this painting of the Bridge hotel. I was attracted by the contrasts between the dark and light presented in this view. The iconic Tyne bridge can be viewed in the background as the warm lights invitingly shine from the pub
