My brother asked for a portrait of an Indian chief from North America. I could not use a reference that someone else has the copyright for so I reverted to my holiday snaps from Calgary Stampede, where Ist Nation Americans are well represented. Marie Bear was a quite famous American. If anyone can tell me anything about his tribe or actual name I would be most grateful as I want to credit him with due respect. Acrylic on canvas board 10”x12”.
