Stunning painting! I can hear the ocean looking at your painting. Your color palette is exciting, interesting the colors reflected in the grass. I am especially drawn to the sandy beach and the warmth there.

Nancy - Thank you so very much! This is only my second "seascape" in many years.

Great seascape presentation.

Thanks so much, Thomas! I think I might do a few more...

Love it, Skylar Cool bird. Bri

Brian - Thanks so much!

Thank you, Maureen!

Carole - Thank You!

I do like the rocks in the foreground on this one and the softening on the crest of the waves. It is reallylovely. The sea has a delicate torquisey shade, very unlike the sea outside my house which is a foreboding gun metal grey (North Sea). Haven't done a seascape in ages apart from a very quick watercolour that looked awful. You have inspired me to get my oils/acrylics out and have a go.

Caarole K - Thanks for commenting. I,too hadn't done a seascape in a very long time. This ref. just sparked a renewed interest. The orig photo only shows a flat, uninteresting grey beach, and the wave. I did quite a bit of imagining. So, good luck with your renewed interest, also!!

Wonderful subject and beautiful colours, Skylar.

Cesare - Thank You so much!

Margaret - Thank you!

I think this is the first time I have repainted an image. After doing the first, I had ideas to "enhance" it. Orig.size 17x11.
