Last Leaf

I like this. You've now made me curious about the O Henry story, I have read him in the rather distant past but can't remember this one. Will have to look it up.

The synopsis - A young artist is ill with pneumonia. Lying in bed, looking out the window at the last leaf on a tree, becomes convinced that when that leaf falls, she will die. The old artist next door goes out and paints the leaf on the wall. She recovers. He later dies of exposure...

So clever Skylar, love the story as well.

Brilliant work Skylar, I can recall the story being read out in a school assembly many many years ago.
