A great way to remember a holiday - are you a highly experienced painter, or a beginner? If the former, you know what you're doing; if the latter, you're getting it right and I hope you'll do a lot more. There's a lot of skill and sensitivity here.

Thanks Robert. I guess I would class myself as intermediate...with a very long way to go. After years in a non-artistic wilderness I think I would definitely benefit from some further training or tutoring.

Well - come to me, lad; and I shall lead you phenomenally astray, though you might enjoy it..... In fact, I think you're doing well on your own, but if you think you need guidance - choose your guide carefully. Frankly, I think you're doing well as it is - don't let amateur tutors lead you astray... www.wightpaint.blogspot.com www.isleofwightlandscapes.net

Well if ever I find myself painting in the Isle of Wight Robert...I know who to call on.

Oh...it's sunny and warm. Lights and darks, very atmospheric. Wish I was there.

Very atmospheric. - love the dappled light

This is so Greece, one can feel the warmth and the smell of Ambre Solaire, brilliant and a super gallery

You must have been painting people for a long time Shaun. They look really good and natural. I like the warm colours in this painting too.

This reached out to me in a way that it might not to others. I'm presently writing a romantic novel set in Central America (West coast) and I was thinking of producing something very similar to this as a bookjacket idea. This is an excellent study of the human form in a relaxed pose. The figures in the background are well drawn for their size and proximity. Impressed.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone, much appreciated.
