Hang on Studio Wall

I was very touched to be asked to paint this very old photograph of my clients' parents when they were getting married. Sadly, they are now passed and will not see this painting but their son, who commissioned the piece, will have this hanging in his family home. I found the connection between these two lovebirds utterly charming! I don't typically paint in monochrome, but it's been a great exercise in understanding values!
