Thanks Val, I might make it my card this year. But had terrible trouble getting a decent photo (and therefore jpeg) of it, as I don't have a very fancy digital camera. All tips gratefully received!

Like the composition and light you have manages to capture in this painting Rosalind and agree with Val it would make a really nice Christmas card..

Painted on Sanderson Waterford rough, using only cobalt blue, light red, aureolin and rose madder genuine. I took photos and made a sketch there in September, then imagined the scene in winter. I made the Arrocher Alps a little more dramatic than they actually are at this end of the loch. Artistic licence!
