Ah, now there's a thing. I thought this style was deliberate, really enjoying some of the garish qualities. I'd say this has worked very well as an experiment and as a piece of art in its own right. Brian

That's a really good test Ezio. I like how the hair blends into the background.

I like it even if the colours are not accurate, excellent look in her eye and high contrast makes for a striking portrait.

I love it, Ezio. It’s perfect in my opinion.

I think it's just perfect, Ezio. It works really well

Love the edges, and the contrast..quite striking.

I'm not sure that I deserve these choral endorsements. Anyway , dear colleagues and friends, you encourage me to further experiment painting in colours. Thanks to Brian, Ibolya, David, Ellen, Thalia and Andre: I'm grateful to all of you.

I like her expression Ezio.

I think it's a wonderful piece Ezio

This is a good start with colours, Ezio, I agree with all comments and I'm sure you will improve with more colours practice.

Thanks once again to all for positive comments. I hope I'll be able to meet your expectations.

Stunning result Ezio.

This is only a test. I used whatever I had at my disposal (Derwent coloured pencils, Staedler watersoluble coloured pencils, Derwent ink pencils). The overall result is limited. Colours are too bright and unnatural. Next time I have to experiment with the 12 Pastel Skintones pencils by Derwent, with better results ... it is hoped.
