Very dramatic landscape, and given a wonderful perspective by the inclusion of a tiny figure fishing at the waters edge. Smashing work.

Forgive me if you know these tips already Robert. You don't say what size the canvas is, so assuming it's around 20x16" when you paint your water in and before you paint the rocks (using a knife?), use a large brush, 2" on the above size canvas, and pull straight down vertically starting at the top waters edge at the left, then again next to the first and so on across the canvas, and finally, light horizontal strokes working down to the bottom edge with just the weight of the brush, and a thin white line along the shore to finish it off. Really nice scene, well done.

Firstly thank you CA Jones ,this being my third attempt is encouraging to have another go. Don't worry about tips in this direction Norman I know very little.Just had to nip to shed to measure pic it 30x20 inches,I have asmall selection of brushes and some tools nothing as big as 2 inches so tend to use anything at hand.Thank you.
