Spreading his wings

The thumbnail is a great deal more accurate a representation than this enlargement!

The enlargement doesn’t distract from the lovely passages in your washes Robert.

Lovely Robert. Although we live over 100 miles from the sea we have a few cormorants on the lakes by us. I think they may have got lost!

And it's the breeding season.....nicely done.

High marks to Sylvia! She recognized the crest, indicating the breeding season.

A very powerful image Robert. I see cormorants all the time, as I live near a harbour and they always look so majestic when they spread their wings.

A striking image Robert, can almost hear the flapping of those wings.

Your on the roll here Robert! Lovely 😍

He's gorgeous. As are the sea and sky.

Distinctive bird nicely portrayed. I sketched some last week where I was surprised to see them on the lake at Clumber Park Notts which couldn’t be further from the sea if it tried.

Small watercolour (apologies for potential problems with reproducing the image, it's only 12cm by 17cm) of a frequent visitor to our shores.
