It looks good Richard, I like the bright colours.

That bright blue is stunning! Nice composition too.

Great colours Richard, that sky really makes the buildings stand out 😀

A. Dry individual style Richard, I like it. Dry much and it suits the subject very well. You could run with this style on all kinds of subjects but especially with buildings.

Just had a look at Christian Eurgal's paintings , I particularly like 'les cabanons sur la plage'.Like your rendition as well, Richard.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments, much appreciated. The style of buildings in some French Art ( Brittany/Cote d'Azur) etc reminds me of the buildings/cottages in Welsh Art.

Ignore the A. Dry Richard....it should read very! Damn iPad makes it up just to make me look foolish. Lol

That's ok Fiona. I have endless "predictive text" idiotic words when I post on our Tablet !!

I like this style, Richard, it looks like a real place but everything is simplified, almost abstract. It's exactly the kind of thing I struggle with. Your reference to Christian Eurgal has prompted me to look him up. Super. One of the things I like about the site is that people often refer to artists they like...which leads us to interesting work.

Thanks Lewis. I always try to acknowledge "the source", like I do with my versions of Welsh Art, Stephen John Owen, Davis Barnes etc. and yes this "site" can open eyes to "new" styles etc.

A3 Acrylic Paper. As before being A3 I had to photo before scanning on A4 and the content and colours do lose a bit in "translation". Been to the Nice area a couple of times on short breaks and even photos ("snaps") on phone or tablet are always vivid and crisp. I have looked at the paintings of Christian Eurgal and other contempory artists in France and my rendition is in the style of the above.
