I like the atmosphere and richness of your darker paintings Rebecca, I think this one would have been just as effective without your little dogs though. I've left a reply for you on my last posting 'Dunrobin' castle.

:-) thanks Fiona :-) i'll go have a look now :-) i agree about the dogs, i wasn't sure what to put :-p

This is what i mean by my paintings going too dark, so i have started using kitchen paper on my entire painting, all over it, to lighten it up like the one from this morning, so when i have done the sky quickly, i already have the kitchen paper in a ball in my hand and quickly dab off excess sky colour, then the same with the ground, and the trees, etc This painting was from yesterday and i was not happy with it. It dried too fast which i thought ironic :-p The paper is Canson Montval 300gsm A6. I used brusho watercolours :-) leaf green, dark green, purple, bright red, vermillions, black, orange, yellow, ultramarine, Colbolt blue, and crimson. the scene is meant to be hills in the background with trees in the background, then the front has trees and dogs sniffing the ground and flowers sorry if it disliked by you all too :-)
