Built in 1566-67 the tomb (on the left) and mosque complement each other and have a 'painterly' quality.The word 'afsar' in Persian means 'crown' and could have some link with the English word 'officer'.The person whose tomb it is may have been an officer but apparently not a gentleman! According to one source he had a roving eye and women kept their distance from him !
