Getting the hang of it now Sarah

Nice work Sarah, loving the texture you've worked into the trees!

This is great Sarah, like Debs I too love the texture in the trees, there is some lovely mark making there.

Derek, Debs and Val thank you for your nice comments. Pastel colours are so very vivid, they tend to brighten up the day.

Love this Sarah, the mellow colours of the church , the texture of the trees and the poppies in the foreground. Excellent work!

Really like the pastel work here Sarah, especially the textured trees. I do hope you won't mind me saying this and it is just my opinion, but I'd have preferred it if the poppies weren't all facing the same way. They do make a nice pattern here, it's just that I have a thing about flower heads facing in different directions as they grow in life. Here, they're all facing me!

Christine and Louise thank you for commenting on my pastel :) Louise,, you are right! I didn't notice before but I will add some more tomorrow facing in different directions.

I thought it might be possible with it being a pastel! Someone pointed this out to me many years ago and I've never forgotten that flowers always face in different directions. Sometimes it doesn't matter if we're pattern making but I just felt that it did here. Also, I'm glad you didn't mind me mentioning it!

Hi Sarah I like this its painted very nicely ii allways love to see the strokes of pastel well done Sarah.

Thanks Dennis, I'm pleased with the trees. I think that I shall try more leaving the strokes in and Louise, of course I don't mind! That is what I like about this site! The feedback is always very helpful and tbh they do all look as if they are all looking at the same thing. Zombie poppies! LOL!

Mind you, sunflowers have a habit of facing in the same direction...(I'm giving this some thought!).....LOL

Above was supposed to be a smily face!!! Zombie sunflowers now Louise!!!
