Isn't it just! It's like this today Anne ! Hope you are warm and cosy where you are! Just got a fire going too! :)

Lovely atmospheric painting - super big Norfolk sky and beautiful light playing on the sand.

This jumped out at me from the thumbnails, beautiful sky and though I usually go for vibrant colours the more subdued tones in this really attracted me. A super painting Sarah.

Beautifully executed, Sarah. Lovely big skies. Well done.

I have just come back from a short visit to Wells in Norfolk and we visited Blakeney - you seem to have captured the mood of the area. Very nice.

great atmosphere and I love the sky.

Yes, this caught my attention. Wonderful mood and atmosphere.

Well! I go off to have my tea and when I come back I have all these wonderful comments! I feel very spoilt and I must say a big thankyou to you all. I appreciate you leaving your comments, and so Thea, Val, Lionel, ,Valerie, Dawn and Laurence a massive thank you once again :) I usually use colour in abundance and find it hard to be subtle, so against my nature....but as the weather was bad today I thought that it called for a grey kind of painting. It has been a lovely surprise to read all your favourable comments :)

Thank you for your lovely comment Gudrun :)

Wonderful moody atmosphere here Sarah, love the colours and those white clouds lift the whole painting. Those posts are well placed as well. I like it!

I agree great sky and love the way you are lead on and around the painting

L ouise and Nicola, I appreciate your nice comments :)

A great painting Sarah! Love the greys with pale umber or whatever you have used to create the path and part of the sky. Very autumnal atmosphere. It's good to try sometimes different colours out of your comfort zone, might get lovely results like this one.

Superb atmospheric piece, Sarah, well done!

Satu and Seok! Thank you for your support regarding my paintings! It is very much appreciated :)

Sarah, Thank you so much for your comments on my paintings and the info re acupuncture for back pain. My wife is, in fact, considering this. The massage, the hot stones and the reflexology were lovely sessions for her, but did not provide a cure, (I wonder if there is one?!) but only temporary relief. . Thanks also for the best wishes for my wife and sister, the latter finally in residential care. There are numerous other problems but I wont make you depressed by listing them all. Ah well. back to the painting.....and thanks again.

Isn't it always the way Lionel! All the bad luck arrives like buses- When they do turn up it's three at a time .lol! The acupuncture isn't a total cure but at least alleviates the pain for a couple of months at a time. I do hope that it works for your wife....It is the oldest medicine in the world apparently, so I'm hoping that the results will be good. Please let me know. All the best.

Of course you know I love this painting and I enjoyed looking at all your paintings there all wonderful. The little people are grand.

Thank you Liz :)
