Lovely portrait Val, as is lots of your work - how prolific and versatile you are as a painter - just looked through several of your portfolios. Thanks for your nice comment on my view from Inversnaid. What a beautiful area in Autumn - I think I'll change a bit of the composition on the oil sketch and paint it on a larger canvas later. We walked a a few miles on the West Highland Way and stayed a few nights at this hotel on a coach holiday but we didn't do all the days out - I liked it there and did a bit of walking, sketching and painting and it was lovely weather last week! How lucky you are to live in such a beautiful area. I love the hills as we live in a mostly flat region in East Yorkshire and it is sometimes more difficult to find interesting views, mostly skies and fields - so Scotland was a treat for me to paint.
