THE COVE HOUSE INN, PORTLAND

The Cove House Inn proved very popular with both the Australian and New Zealand sailing teams at the 2012 Olympics.<br />It was also featured a lot on television during the storms of February 2014 , when the sea topped the building and ran into Chiswell. It is also well served by locals at sunset.<br />I painted this as part of the Mural project for the Heights Hotel and is one of a series of 10 images. Using acrylic inks which are strong plus my favourite Quink Permanent Black which separates into its 3 main colours when mixed with water. You can just seen the effects here in the sky, but I deliberately left it light.
