I do agree John, but this is very striking. Did you find it difficult to do?

No I did not find it difficult to do Tessa. Thanks.

Intriguing!

Agree with you entirely about using brushes and paper, pencils and pens, rather than digital work, but that's about techniques ... despite falling out with a digital artist (note, not with ALL of them) I have nothing at all against digital painting, but I do like it to be well done, if it is to be done. Your image is interesting, and it IS well done. Good on you, and on it. By well done, I don't mean it has to conform to any particular theme - but this is hard to put into words; some work, even if technically competent, would cause a shrivelling of my vitals whether it were done digitally or by conventional means. There's so much more to it than just the particular medium in which a work has been accomplished: and you obviously get that, so I'll stop labouring the point. I'll just say I like it!

Very clever!

A lovely result John.

This is fabulous, John.

Thank you Jo, Heather, and Carole and Robert thank you for your insightful analysis.

It’s a very clever digital image John but I agree true artists like yourself and others create stunning images through many hours of practise and passion for their skill.

Love the concept. Beautifully executed!

Great concept and well executed. Agree you can't beat paints and brushes though.

A beautiful concept and striking image!

A piece of digital art I did back in 2005. All the elements are my own material nothing snatched of the internet and manipulated. It was a novelty back then. I later packed in doing digital images. Love pencils paper, paints and brushes, you can’t beat them. Just my view. I have 20 pieces of digital art in my gallery all my own work and material apart from 3 which I built up from cuttings out of magazines..
