A watercolour based on a pedestrian plaza in Cork city with The Crawford Gallery in the centre partly obscured by trees.The building on the extreme right is the Opera House,and no it's not falling down,parts of it are angled like this.This part of the city combines some lovely old architecture,such as the gallery,but also buildings of modern design.I have some experience with painting older brick and stone buildings but the challenge for me with this painting was the modern built structures with mostly glass facades which are filled with reflections from the world around them.
