Very good for your 'second' portrait in oils, Pete. Like the way you have captured the colour of the eyes.

Oil on Canvas Board. 12" x 16". Only my 2nd attempt at a portrait in oils. This is my Father-In-Law Tom about 45 years ago approximately. The original photo was taken by myself sometime in the 70's. I Finished this off this morning with a few tweaks to the hairline and a fairly abstract jumper. I've painted the background with a mixure of Ivory Black and Titanium White to create a slightly marbled effect.
