Weathered, Broken & Overgrown.

Tremendous detail Peter.

My husband got very excited about this, but then peeling paint turns him on in his photographic pursuits!

Absolutely beautifully painted Peter

There's a certain beauty in graceful deterioration and you've found it Peter. Brilliant.

More genius from the tip of your pencils Peter, you create wonderful magic with them.

The Ivy looks so real and trailing through the wood with the contrast of the rust on the hinge certainly portrays a 'weathered, broken and overgrown'appearance, very good pencil work Peter.

This picture was created for Derwent as an art blog, using the new Artist Dark pencils, Raven for dark black, Forrest for dark green and Midnight for dark blue, together with pencils from their Coloursoft, Artist, Drawing ranges and 0.1 mm Black Liner Pen. The subject photo, my own, was taken from an old garden shed, sharpened using Photoshop Express and cropped to 41 x 20 cm. I used a Daler Rowney HW cartridge paper of 140 lb for its slight textured surface.
