Exceptionally good as always Paul especially the branch and the lichen but I'm a little confused......is this a male or female sparrow LOL Good luck with your tutoring, if I didn't live at the opposite end of the country I'd be there!

Hi Val, what a dodo I am, of course it's a male sparrow. LOL I have just finished painting a female sparrow as a commission for the same person and sadly unable to show until next year! I will correct the information here. Hope all is ok with you Val. BTW, you are more than welcome to join in when you are down here one day soon. :-)

The textures are so real..... I can feel the softness of the feathers and the roughness of the bark. Beautiful.

I completed this one on the 26th May but didn't put it on here, I do get very forgetful! This was painted as a commission and is of a male sparrow. The size is A4, watercolour with the addition of a little white acrylic. :-) Hope everyone is well, Paul http://www.devonartist.co.uk/
