This is an acrylic on canvas approx 60 x 50 cm. The grasses have texture and I tried a bit of collage with dried grass etc found on the water's edge after high tide. I'm not a great fan of acrylics and prefer oils for blending potential, though I found it was easy and quick to paint and the colours are bighter and fresher because of the simple scene. I still have to resist the urge to "fiddle" and spoil paintings towards the end (sometimes I'm still changing things after I've framed a painting - ridiculous!!)
