Lovely beach oil painting, love the sand and pebbles on the beach ere, super colours and textures, and fab movement in the waves lapping the beach, lovely recession as well going across to the distant shores

This is a large painting 75cm x 100cm canvas - done with brush scumbling and a bit of knife work. It's based on a sketch and a photo when we walked on the pebbled beach in November 2013. It was a cold day and an almost deserted beach, but lovely when the sun appeared and you could see the reflection of the cliffs in the sea. I used a lot of paint and it took a long time to complete, but I'm quite pleased with the overall effect.
